Bluetooth: quickshare? |

Hi
One of my friend's phones can use bluetooth to access another persons files on their phone, so that they can collect the files they want and transfer them over to their phone. I was wondering if you could do this with my k750i.
I thinks he said it was something like quickshare, which both our phones have, but im not sure.
Any help? If I can use this function on my phone, can somebody tell me how! Thanks |

What phone has he got? You say it has quickshare, this implys its a As far as I am aware it is not possible to browse peoples phones in phones anymore.
btw Quickshare is 's method of allowing you to send a picture you just took to someone, in under 10 button pushes!

Yeah the old(er) could do this. I believe they stopped doing it after the K700. Annoying to say the least.

Do you know if there is a program that will allow you to do this? |

Not that I am aware of. Wish there was, missed it on my K750, W800 and now on my W900.

Try downloading the manual from the SE website. |

simply go into bluetooth in connectivity. Then go into my devices and select the other phone. If it supports the file browsing feature the left softkey will say browse, if not it will say services. If it says browse, press the softkey you will be able to browse the files on the other phone. This also works with computers on which this profile is enabled in the bluetooth dongle software (such as widcomm).
Note the devices must be paired for this to work.

I tried this. My bro has a Nokia 6670 and the left softkey shows browse but when I use it, it connects and then says'the requested folder is empty.' Does this mean he has to enable something on his mob like is required in computers? Coz I know he's got a lot of stuff on his mob. Or is this feature working on SE-2-SE pairings only and only few other Nokias?

I know it's possible to browse the files on other phones from an SE. I once browsed the files on a D500 and vice versa on my K700. |

K700 was the last model from SE that allows that feature. K750 etc don't support it.
