yes, its new. I was wondering when someone would spot that

it allows you to save a copy of private messages that you send

for those that have not seen it, this is how it works

when you send a private message, you enter the text of your message. Just under the box where you enter that text is some options including the new archive option

tick the box before clicking submit and a copy of the PM will be saved

to view the saved PM's click "Private Messages" in the top menu as you usually would to see the PM's that have been sent to you. At the top of those PM's on the right hand side is a new function showing how many archived messages you have so click that to see your archived sent PM's

there is an option to delete the archived message but I do have one further suggestion for laffen and that is to also provide the "only this user" option that is available for received PM's

anyway, another member wish now fulfilled!

Laffen made mention in the Esato Logo thread that he is quite occupied with doing 3 important thing here at Esato, I think this was one of them 2 more to go . . . nice one. I wonder when he will be doing a setting where we can DELETE all our pms in just one - go ! [addsig]

I think this could become a "too many cooks spoil the broth" situation.

Laffen is obviously a great guy and knows what he's doing here. With just over 82,000 members it must be hard keeping up with demands. A lot of people have complained about the plainness of Esato many times since I have been here. As soon as it is changed there seems to be criticisms. I think people expect too much of Laffen and what he does. I cannot talk too much because I have asked for some changes myself. But I think on the whole we should be grateful for what Laffen does here, and the way he does it. (the physical server change, over night GMT) If it wasnt for him, Esato would not exist. And dont forget, and lets face it, Esato is probabely the best and most well known mobile phone forum in the world. Even if it is mainly for fans.

So after my little rant All I'm trying to say is, perhaps lets leave Laffen to do what he does best and try not to expect too much from him. I think there are small changes that can be made, as with almost anything, but I think that Esato works perfectly well the way it does atm, wouldn't you agree?

I would like to say a personal thanks to Laffen

Also who would like to see Laffen a bit more active in threads? I would. But then I guess with the maintaining of the site, it must be difficult to discuss stuff too.
