Forget about the P990. Is vapor ware. SE them self said it may never be released. Qtek yes, but the Imate Jamin or the N80 (to be released in 4-6 weeks) are the 'true' best for now.

I think it's actually quite subjective. No doubt the p990 may have all the bells and whistles, but it really depends on what the user really wants. It may not be wise to pay so much for the p990 if what you need is actually along the lines of a series60 symbian phone.

Depends what you mean by best I suppose. Probably the most functional and sophisticated at the moment is the Imate JasJar, however it's very bulky and battery life can be an issue at times.
The P990 certainly looks promising and is definately a much better size, however there are concerns that by the time it is finally released, it's feature set might already be a little bit dated.
The Imate Kjam has to be my choice at the moment. Smaller than the JasJar but with nearly all of the functionality and a better battery life. I still haven't got one yet though, anyone got one for sale second hand?

As a 'all arounder' the Jamin is top of the crop buddy. Apart of the bigger screen (and size) there is nothing the other 2 imates can offer compared to the jamin. Only a lower res. camera ! The P990i is non existent atm. and even when released is no where near this top devices. I don't even want to comment further, but because some members may think otherwise (more with their hardes then brains) I will point out a few weaknesses: First no EDGE ! If you can't access a 3G network you must go back to 2002 standard (GPRS) . Second: slow wifi implementation. If you want to use it in a wifi network for Skype calls you must disconnect it after each and every call otherwise will pull your whole network speed down ! So basically you can't continuously monitor your incoming calls. Third and most important, it uses a proprietary OS, for which there is no software yet ! Both S60 and WM5 are already very popular. The N80 suffers a bit too because of symbians update but no where as bad as P990i.
