Where is the rest of the memory on my K700? |

Phone:6.6 MB free
Pics:2.8 MB
Sounds 19 MB
Vids: 842 kb
Themes: 3.3 MB
Games: 1.7 MB
Apps: 1.9 MB
Other: 131 kb
Msgs: 4 kb
If you add that up it comes to 36.3 MB (including the free memory)
Where is the remaining 4.7 MB of memory?

branding.... internal branding... my friends k700 by defualt had around 25mb free, after i debranded, 40mb free to start with, without even removing all the starting crap

I am in india where there is no branding. We get the phones sim free.

i think u never get the all the memory that is listed on specks of the phone, and phone software takes few MBs |

Mine's Sim Free and I have 41Mb of free memory. Sounds strange to me???

I had a UK Vodafone Branded K700 and that had 41MB Free when i got it

I used to have 41 MB total, now it's also less than that. Probably a memory fragmentation issue.

When i see my memory using MPE it shows total memory to be 42MB.
But when i calculate manually it is still 36.3 MB.

Total: 39,61
Maybe not all is counted and maybe we have to take into account some rounding errors. |
