I Know the red led on top of the K700i blinks when you are almost out of battery. But mine also starts blinking whenever I take a picture with the flash light on. It keeps blinking, even if I'm playing a game, unless I take another picture WITHOUT the flash light on. When I take a picture with the flash light on again, it starts all over.

Does somebody know what the red led means beside low battery?

Thanks in advance,

How long do you have your K700?

Mine is just over a year old now and I had the red light on more and more, even though the battery indicator was still in the green. Hungry for energy as the K700 is the battery gets worn out somewhat quicker than you'd expect. And then it can't provide that much power anymore.

The battery indicator, both on screen and the red light, take into account the amount of energy that is currently used and how much voltage is left. It calculates how safe you are with what is left given the current use. That is why it sometimes goes from orange back to green. When using a lot of energy, as with the light on, it will go, eh, well, into the red.

I've put in a new battery and now it works as new. Haven't seen the red light ever since.

(Difficult decision: put in a new expensive battery and keep up with the phone for at least another half year or save the budget to buy a new phone more quickly, meaning buying the new one at its too high introduction price...)

I've recently flashed it to R2AY004, EU3 language pack. It could be that the same thing happened before I flashed it, but I've never noticed it before.

I also bought a new (original sony ericsson) battery a few weeks ago, so that can't be the problem. I've searched a few more mobile forums, and there seem to be more people with the same weird 'problem'.
