Hi!

I have obtained a dvd decrypter, but when I rip the movie file, and try to put it in mpegaqble, it doesn't pick up the whole movie, only 35 mins.

Does anyone know of a good, free .vob to mpg converter so I can put this on my mobile?

I did try splitting the .vob file, but it kept mixing the files, 1 section would be normal, the next with commentary!

All help appreciated!

I use Mpeg Direct Maker. It copies a DVD direct to a single video file in whatever format you want.

Thanks for posting!

Super wouldn't convert the file, and didn't offer 176*144 resolution, Handbrake looks too complicated and the mpeg direct wouldn't start decoding and had loads of writing in the middle of the screen!

Any others? Or any idea why mpegable isn't picking up the whole file?

It shows the file as only having 35 mins, if I click along the bar, it appears to have the whole movie, for instance around the 34 min mark, the credits but when it starts encoding, it does it in real time, so 34 mins is 34 mins in the film.

Mpeg has writing because its a demo, you need to use the Advanced DVD Converter part to convert straight from the disk, and there is an option to convert to only 1 file.

If you don't get on with it though, then Im not sure what to use, maybe Nero recode will do it, but I have never tried it.
