Hi
I am planning to buy a Sony Ericsson K700i from shops around Alfa. But a friend warned me "u get duplicates of Sony Ericsson" Is this true?
Which shops (& where) in Grey Market have u had a good experience with? Shops u would like to recommend fo a good service.
Where do I get SE from an official Sony store? Address.
Thanks. |

@cell - Welcome to Esato mate If you are pertaining to 'Reconditioned' fones then you can certainly get SOME old models here in Manila in particular (Asia). At the last time I saw some fone models being sold at a 'reconditioned' (refurbished) conditions in selected shops around my place . . there are: Ericsson T39mc and T68is Though I haven't SEEN the K700i being SOLD in reconditioned status . . YET. Maybe in the next few months it will be, as it is becoming an OLD model as time passes by Though some say that 'reconditioned' models works fine too . . .

Clone fones are used by terrorists, secreat agents etc to cheat the system by sending a registrated imei, so the copied users will be hunted if it is, instead of the cheater.

Clone fones arent for the public, to recondition one is legal, when the brand itself manage it. Almost same as at recalled units for example r520.

A reconditioned phone is an original that has been used or had a problem with it and has now been fixed and parts replaced to look and act brand new.

Thanks Boba and Hustler ! I can therefore conclude that we have NO 'cloned' fones at my end . . . only 'reconditioned' ones !

@boba - Of course the price is MUCH cheaper specially when compared to that when it (original model) was FIRST introduced OUT in the market mate . . . they give a week's time warranty. What I only notice with these recon units sold in the market, is that their BOXES looks like it's been XEROXED ! very pale in color, so GOes with the way the manual has been printed !

@boba - I guess the reconditioned ones will last for quite sometime too, but WHY get recon ones when you can get/buy the original UNLESS, you are DEAD SERIOUS in getting that certain model which is HARD to find . . .

The brands has nothing to loose, to sell it 2 times isnt so bad. If it wouldnt a biz and no interest, they wouldnt do it
