Hi.

I had my phone dead from power loss, the battery was depleted. Plugged it in the USB, played some JAVA games, then left it plugged. Went to access the memory stick; it was blank. Unplugged it from the USB (to re-plug), then the phone turned off; when repluggin to the USB it wasn't even detected.

Went to charge it with the AC charger... the phone wouldn't light up; instead, the red led in the infrared was lit. I recall the user manual saying that it may take like 30 minutes for the phone to light up if the battery was depleted. Left it there for 1 minute, unplugged the AC charger, plugged it again and the phone lightened up; though turning off the led.

Is this normal? Does the led lights when there is too little power to light the LCD? Just like a way of saying "hey, I'm being charged, don't worry I'm not lightning up"?

Thanks

I think the principle on LOW battery Red light charging scenario with the latest fones are all but the very SAME. I once drained the battery on my K700i to it's BRINK . . . tried opening the power-on switch BUT the RED light 'blinks' continuously while I am still pressing the power button, then charged it and all system GO ! It took the fone to charge a BIT more than 1.5 hours to a FULL ! [addsig]

Oh... so then, I shouldn't worry about it. At first I kinda freaked out, specially because I had opened the SEUS II client, which wouldn't even connect to the server saying there were many users! It didn't make ANY sense for that to crash my phone; but was creepy as hell the seconds it was turned off and wouldn't come on again!
