Corrupted file on K700i - how do I get rid of it? |

I've just gotten hold of a K700i which had a lock code on. I've managed to clear the lock code and unlock the phone (originally on Voda). It also had the Firmware Version That Time Forgot on it, so updated the firmware.
However, it seems that during the process a photo file has become corrupted, and whenever I go into the 'camera pictures' directory, and try to do anything with this file - view it, delete it, etc. it locks the phone up and everything freezes, the only way to unfreeze it is to take the battery out and restart the phone.
It didn't do this before the firmware update (Now got R2AY on it), so basically how do I delete this file? Is there a way of clearing all the photos in that directory without going into it?

I've also tried getting to it via the communications suite and a Syncstation but can't seem to get it to recognise the phone - even though it did manage to send a picture to the phone in the image editor, the file manager keeps saying 'phone not connected'.
it's probably not the phone that's at fault there, but me not doing something right!

Bump - any ideas on how to get rid of this file - or at least do a master clear on the phone (so it only has on it what it did when it came out of the factory)?

@sammy - Will a Master Reset do But I guess that will be one of your LAST recourse . . . Good Luck!

I've tried a master reset - it doesn't delete all files off the phone unfortunately!
It would be a shame to have to do that, as there's some good games installed on it, but I'd rather have a fully working phone than this little problem!

a settings reset doesn't delete all files, but a MASTER reset does. Atleast it did for the 2 or 3 times I did master resets on my K700.

I had a video like this, take lotsa pics and mark several including you corrupt one, and delete a whole lot together... it should work! |

come to think of it, I think I had some similar problem and deleted just as 786bkr suggests. It's certainly worth a try. |

Tried that I'm afraid, as soon as I scroll down to try to mark the corrupted file, the phone freezes! It seems to do it even when in preview mode - I need to be able to delete everything in that folder at once somehow - a 'delete all' option.
I did take four random photos though so at least it wouldn't crash whenever I went into the 'camera pictures' directory - I just can't scroll to that point unfortunately!

OK, confession time! Have just looked in the 'master reset' menu and found a 'delete all' option, which has worked!
Though it didn't delete a directory in the photo section though, it got rid of the corrupt file!

well that's good! That explains it, didn't think a master reset would fail to delete a file
