I'm using Nero Recode 2 to transcode my movies to a mobile-friendly size/format/quality. I've noticed that video clips with 176x80 or 176x112 screen size fail to play on my W800. Does this happen to other W800 users as well?

Any video with resolution smaller than 176x144 can be played on K750/W800/D750

No, not any.
It has to conform to the mobile 3gp standards, these do not include any resolution, but specific resolutions.
Cant remember what resolutions below 176x144 conforms to that standard off my head right now, but you can look it up.
Depending on firmware used, the restrictions on resolutions can differ, Im not in a place where I can test or investigate right now, but I seem to remember earlier firmwares on K750 and on my K700 were less restrictive than the latest 2 firmwares on K750/W800 are.
