I'm not sure if this is now commonplace, but I think its proper wierd.

I was in Subway (the sandwhich shop), I had a W800i and my friend had a K750i.

Basically the shop was empty, and some thing bluetoothed a .sis file simultaneously to my phone and my friends K750i. It happened numerous times once every 30 seconds. Each time they were called different file names, I saved one - z40z081cyg. theres no one around, and I didnt know what was doing it!

I though it might be a phone virus! But it can't affect my phone, how did they send it to my friend at the same time. Whats going on?

i could be wrong, but i believe a .sys file is a virus for many of the new nokia phones.

anyway, i am interested to hear from someone on how more than one was sent at once.

it would have saved to the "other" folder since the K750 and W800 don't support .sis

tomw800 : try to upload the .sis file somewhere, somebody can take a look at it and try to verify if it is a virus or not.

for wat i know .sis virus files only affect symbian operating systems phones such as p900, i had a nokia 3630 and i got a virus sent to me that messed up my bluetooth, my friend got it on his phone but notink happened to him because he didnt have a symbian operating system so k750 and w800i should be ok if u accept such files.

That was mentioned in the first reply.

Also: when I searched for devices I found none!

Wow! Yes, I got the same the other day in the bus, and I'm down here in Argentina.

Twice I got bluetoothed with a .sis file, apparently a randomly generated name.

SIS are Symbian applications; I save one, then deleted it because I didn't have nothing to do with it. Both were (I think) 300 KB EXACTLY.

Any clues as what that is?

Maybe its a virus that sends to every bluetooth device in range, and when a person accepts and opens it, it sends it on to other devices?
