Okay got my W800, and just "backed up an original cd that I own" onto the memory stick, using the lowest setting on disc to phone, but the quality is poorer than that of using my Sony CD-HDMD burning software on the lowest setting. What is the best way of getting a clear transfer without eating up too much space on the memory stick?
By comparison I can convert 40 cds at the lowest rate possible onto a 1GB minidisc and they sound ok still. Help!

don't go below 96kbps that's for me the absolute limit! if you want smaller songs convert with itunes for example to AAC

Ok but how about using Sony Soundstage? That converts to ATRAC, can I use that? |

Okay got the sound quality sorted, new problem though. When I transfer a DJ mix cd onto the phone, there is a gap between tracks. Is there a way to fix this? |

Ya the phones software is just like winamp without the crossfader plugin.
It doesn't buffer the next track before it starts. So if you need a continous play ripp the whole cd as 1 track which will be a problem too becuase you won't be able to skip. |
