T39's typically have not so good reception. Do you think it could be improved by pluggin in an R520 antenna (longer)?

might help a bit.... but bad reception on T39m is often not due to the antenna...

What's the cause of this bad reception?

it's due to a bad circuit... |

My T39's signal strength indicator is one bar less when put side-by-side with an R520. Does this qualify my T39 as having a "bad circuit"?

might be that... most T39 (except those which already have been to service for bad reception) has this bad circuit... might just help with a resoldering of the circuit...
when is your T39 produced according to the productiondate on the label underneath the battery? |

ok.... I'm not 100% sure when all manufactured phones got the new circuit at the factory... at least all T39 manufactured before 01w50 is most likely to get reception problems... don't know how it is with phones manufactured between 01w50 and 02w14... |

Well, compared to T68i my T39 has somewhat better reception so that means its probably not broken...
Thanks again Cytech! |
