Best Handset Used When Browsing Esato via Wap |

I made notice that NOT all handsets gives you the very SAME SPEED when browsing Esato via WAP. I really feel like a TURTLE when I had my T68i then posting at Esato thru WAP. Some other branded handsets too gives me the same feel: Nokia 7650/Siemens SL55/Motorola A 780 (touch screen)/ etc. I can say that I am really at EASE at the moment (and made notice that browsing the posts here is FASTER) when I am using my K700i. I have a query though for some factor/s that makes the browsing SLOW, does the Memory Status of the fone affects the browsing, so GOES with the network I am using Thanks ! Your thoughts too ! |

Both my w800 and d750 fly through this website, yet my n70 is slightly slower-but my v3 is painfully slow! Network has alot to do with it, but drowses type and cache size has a huge part to play!

My wife's Sharp gx20 was pretty slow but my Z 600 is hyper, even though these phones are pretty "narrow minded";-)

I wonder if s P-series mobiles is FASTER when browsing Esato compared with the: S/K/T/W series I know that some PDA fones have this so called - 'processors' . . .

I found that the P series seem to be pretty fast...on html lite as well as wap mode.... especially when using Opera

I agree, Esato WAP and HTML light certainly seem alot faster on my P910 than on my T610. They're both on the same network so it must be something to do with processor speed / efficiency and caching.

I guess the gprs class of the device too might have a role to play..

From using the T300, T68i,K700 and P910 to surf Esato I've noticed that it's a better experience with the latter two models. Right now I'm surfing Esato via Opera which is absolutely killer.

What? Are people still using dial-up in the age when we've got GPRS/EDGE/3G/HSDPA? What do you pay? |

Sorry for the late reply. My 6600, depending on network quality, of course, is fairly quick when accessing Esato's wap version. However, when i access the wap site via Netfront, it absolutely runs circles around the phone's browser. Even Esato Lite is a pure joy to access, although i rarely go that route since there's no auto-login page, as with the wap version. I only use the Lite version when i want to view pictures or post long-winded messages ;-) This nearly qualifies as one of those
