Using Free Airtel GPRS |

hai, i am a new here. this site is superb. I have samsung x100 Mobile. And use airtel with airtel live. i follow the settings found in this site for free Gprs. but none will connet to the network, just verify usename and password and disconneted. i am living in Salem in Tamilnadu.
my Proxy settings:
1.proxyname: Airtel Live
2.GSM Settings:
--- 1.Gateway :
---- 1.IP Address: 0.0.0.0
---- 2.IP Port: 9201
--- 2.Data Call Type : ISDN
--- 3.Dial Number:--
--- 4.Login ID: --
--- 5.Password: --
3.GPRS Settings:
--- 1.Gateway :
---- 1. IP Address: 100.1.200.99
---- 2.IP Port: 9201
--- 2.APN: airtelfun.com
--- 3.Login ID: --
--- 4.Password: --
4.Home url: http://live.airtelworld.com
5.Bearrer: Gprs only
please give me the correct settings .i use *99***1# for dialing.

Change the port number to 8080.
To get full GPRS using pc , see my thread.

hai, i changed the port id to 8080 but it doesn't work. it gives error:629, the connection was closed by remote computer. some one please help me. |

There is no need to create 2 accounts. Only one account is enough.

Change the phone number to: *99#
Then, go into your connection settings and change the APN to "airtelfun.com" (this settig should be found under packet data).
Also make sure you can connect to gprs using your WAP browser on your phone, if not, consult your wireless operators help desk. |

You need to get GPRS settings for your Nokia 3220, and your wireless operator (Airtel) must activate the GPRS service for you. You'll also have to ask them to send you the GPRS settings. (Phone the Airtel Customer Care.)

Hey man i already have all the settings and i am already using the full Wap on phone by the try and try method. I have succeed in dialing the phone and by this i am able to access only sites from my pc which 1 can normally do from Airtel live and not the full internet. Pl suggest

well i have already read that thread but to no avail.
i am still facing probs while connecting, when i pick up my phone to open any other site its asks to quit the data connection (ie. of pc) so now what should i do. if i don't try to connect to any other site then the pc gets connected but i am now able to browse sites which 1 can by airtel live and not all of them
