This is the new motorola A1200 for the chinese markets.the A1200 will be equipped with a 2 megapixel camera and just weighs 95 grams! It has a big 2.4” 240×320 pixels QVGA TFT screen and 8MB built-in memory. The storage space can be further upgraded by using the T-flash memory up to 512MB.
The A1200 comes with a lot of business critical fearures, such as business card scanning function, supports POP3, IMAP4, SMTP e-mail protocol. Not to mention, you can also browse and edit Word, Excel, Power point files. When it comes to multimedia, the A1200 is one of the best with more than 10 types of file format supported, Real Player, MP3, MP4, AAC+ etc. With its Bluethooth stereo headset, it is the entertainment center on your hand. The battery capacity is 850 mAh. This is enough for 270-480 min talktime and 190-210 standby time.

How is this possible?
I noticed this flaw in all the news about this phone.
How is it possible that it has 270-480 talk time and ONLY 190-210 minutes of standby time?
So it seems that if one makes a mistake, the internet keeps the error over and over again, everywhere.
Very odd indeed.
And I read that it has just 5 M of internal mempry, not 8.
Anyway, it is far far away from SE P990i. |

this is now apparantly available according to gizmodo and is now renamed as "Ming" (something to do with Flash Gordon  )

Ming the Merciless, arch villian of Flash Gordon, Emperor of Mong. If you remember the old 80s movie Flash Gordon (with the queen soundtrack) he was the cool bald guy out to destory earth.

Was thinking of getting it but then the syncin issues I had with the v3x and my mac didnt help put this in my favourites.

allow my to sustain the opposite. for this momement i own a moto mpx220, based on windows operating system. as mentioned also on gsmarena.com's review on mpx220, about new motorolas operating system and connecting them with the PC, it one of the easiest connection evermade.
about ur v3x, bear in mind that it does not have a OS, and moto has one of the most difficult menu, so this is why ur v3x is so hard to connect.
mine mpx200 was connected almost instanly, after installing the active sync4.1 and pluging in the usb cable. that's it!
A1200 ha slinux operating system, so ur connection with mac should not be a problem.

only being officially released in hong kong, although im sure you will be able to find places which will import one for you(think there was a link further up this page?) and also ebay could be used
