Hi All,
I am going on a trip to Karachi, Pakistan next week and need some help.
I need the ability to connect to the internet and am not versed with the options available.
Currently have a 3G/GPRS/WIFI enabled phone (O2 XDA Exec), so these are the available methods of connection. There is also an option to buy a standard modem in the form of an SDIO SD card (fairly expensive…)
So with that aside, could someone kindly tell me what is the most cost effective solution to my problem.

The GPRS connect card is offered by only one operator, Mobilink. It charges too much and has quite an unreliable service.

I would recommend you to buy a Telenor sim card and then use your phone to connect to your PC through Infrared or Bluetooth. But then I wonder why are you bent on using internet through your phone only. Get a scratch card of any ISP available from any nearest shop. That will be much much cheaper.

WiFi hotspots are also spread in various parts of Karachi. Exact locations I don't know. You'll have to ask about them from any local. [addsig]
