got me my w900i yesterday, got me a converter utility so i could convert my avi files to mp4 320*240 and use the fullscreen ability to watch movies from my memory/card

but the thing is..the sounds stops working after like 5 secs and themovie starts to be slow skipping frames after like 1minut, and this was only a .mpg music video convertion??

am i all lost to think that i can watch a "real" movie in mp4 format on my w900i? that was my plan when i bought it anyway.

any tips ideas to tweak my settings lower de bitrates. changing the buffer size when i encode, becaous i have no experiens how to..

try lowering video to 192 kbps and no more than 15 frames a second-worked for me with monkey series 1!

hmms still got frameskips, maybe i can go lower than 192kbit video?

the 64kbit sound don't skip just some background noice but that i can live with.

trying with an avi ~700mb is like ~200mb encoded to mp4

what size did you say you were exporting the movie as?k750i,w800 etc only goes up to 176x220 and quicktime doesnt touch that-nearest i can go is 144 by 120 or something-that sometimes affects it?what software are you using to compress the clip for your phone?

Try splitting the original file into 2 or 3 parts and then encode them separately at 192kbps. That should give you very satisfactory results.

I think its the large video file it cant handle. Well atleast I had the same problem..

Feel free to PM me if you need any help with this. Was stuck for a few hours myself doing this for my w900 =)
