i've just come across this problem too. With mp4/m4a files encoded in itunes or in dbpoweramp's nero mp4 encoder, although the ID tags are written, the phone refuses to read the tags and puts all songs in the unknown artist category.

I have this same problem. Also, music purchased from iTunes won't synchronise. |

That is because they are protected, but I think it will work if you burn a cd with the protected songs, and ripp them again
No1 knows why it won´t work? |

Hey guys! I have a W800i and it seems to be the same. But the thing is, I encoded with flaac and ffmpeg under Linux, and I double checked out, and definetly, the problem is that the handset doesn't read the M4A/AAC tags, so there's nothing we can do
See ya. |

| That's right. The AAC files need to be in .m4a tags, since the phone doesn't recognize .aac tags for some reason. |
