Say,I don't use any supplied usb cable to transfer files,I don't copy from PC to my 64 MB Mem.Stick and the other way around very often,I don't have my broadband within reach to do self-upgrading:so is upgrading to R1AA008 worth doing? No problem I encounter so far,no MS bug,no missing files..it's all because I just use my Bluetooth Dongle to transfer file..and,I'm bad at computer..

My advice is don't upgrade. You don't appear to have any need or reason to update the firmware. Your phone is OK and you don't have any probs. But that's just my 2 cents worth.

If it's not broken, why fix it?

I have several phones and I had to upgrade only 5 of them. I usually upgrade if there is something wrong with it (e.g. hangs/freezes). It was only on my T68i that I upgraded even though there was nothing wrong with the original firmware. The last firmware that released had added games.

Hi. I have upgraded a W800i from R1N035 to R1AA008 just last night. Here's what I have noticed.

Fixed bug; phone wanting to freeze when transfering files via bluetooth using R1N035, battery had to be removed and reinserted to return phone to normal. Seems to be no problems with this any more using R1AA008. Bluetooth can be turned on or off without causing phone to freeze.

Volume increase; On earpiece volume, when making a call. Speakerphone volume increase. Volume increase for media player.

NOTICE: New bug introduced; Phone will sometimes freeze (have to remove and reinsert battery to return phone to normal) when in sleep mode, and the clock display is left on. Workaround for this, turn off clock when in sleep mode. Seems to work fine this way. So it's really not that big of a deal, but you guys need to know about this. This was not a issue with R1N035, the clock display could be left on while in sleep mode.

This is all I can say at this point, I do not transfer files via the USB cable, I use a card reader for that, so I have no comment on that point.

So I would say, if you would like a little louder earpiece volume, are having problems with bluetooth transfer, and don't mind having the clock display off while the phone is in sleep mode, you should definitly upgrade.
If these things don't matter to you, then dont upgrade at this time.
