d750i (w800i) housing - very hard? |

Im about to by a new fascia/housing for my d750i (which is the same case I think as a w800i - so I don't need buttons etc)
I see I need a T9 etc. So is hard to do? Is it pretty easy to mess up the phone?
Also are there any pics of like opening up a w800i/d750/k750i
Cheers

are they serious when they say we cannot reuse the old screws? does that mean i have to buy more just to change the cover?

No engineer should reuse old screws - we can though |

I changed the p900 housing. And the D750 wasnt too hard in comparison but i wouldnt try it unless u have experiance.

how can you gain experience without trying?
good luck and just go ahead with it, just dont push it until it goes 'crack' and look for lots of useful guides on others opening their facia.
http://www.mobile-review.com has a few i think

ahh yeah
courage is required
As far as I can see -nothing is physically 'connected' to the fascia - so if i just do the top/bottom one at a time all should be good. I hope!!!

hmmm,don't reuse the old screws?!?well i suppose if the original are self-tapping thread cutting, then re-use may cut an extra thread,effectively drilling out the hole.being a true engineer, i always reuse fasteners! just ensure the screw threads back down the existing cut threads by reversing the screw as you start it and you'll feel the threads drop into place into the start position.

@leprechaun, nice link mate.
I've replaced a couple of T610 covers and also had my K700 apart, but have to say looking at that guide, my w800 would have to be in a pretty bad state for me to attempt that
Good luck jat
