i like the simple, clean looks. if this goes with inter-changeable fascias, then it's gonna be a hit here.

how much did they say would the price be?

The only way I see a success in that thing is if the price was below EUR 100, and somehow it seems positioned in that range.

You know what it only looks strange because you saw it only now. Over time you may grow to appreciate it, just like I did with the T68i; at first I thought it looked like baby shampoo but now I prefer it over the "m"...

But of course the best Ericsson designs of ALL TIME are the T39, R320, and T29. They're the best, but unfortunately we won't have anything like them anymore...

@hyperken: no

I thinks it looks cool, and with a price around 100USD, I think it will be a hit (I hope so).
This for the people with no money
And the T300 for the people with some more money and wants changeable covers and colorscreen.

Lovely!
The design is super!
Before there were only 2 consumer-electronics brands in the world that could produce decent design:
* Apple
* Bang & Olufsen

Now SE has shown that they really are in the frontline!
Minimalistic, straght, honest...

I have already seen some arguments about the new phone T100 but has any one seen the new FM Radio HPR-20. It's really cute and cool!

Everyone has now seen that SE has enterd a whole new dimention whatever design is concerned, BUT is it not time to add some new features to the software??

eg. - add space on the internal mem. for making own folders in SMS
- when you chose add number, you actually add the number to the
phonebook, and not just to the 'unsaved numbers' menu?
- 'refresh' the 'old' menu system
- open a mail box where consumers can send in suggestions for
changes on the different phones
- the 'call list'; insted of scrolling through name, date, and time,
could press 'yes', and you would get a menu with all the
information you would like to know!

From one thing to another;

Any one agree's with me when I say that SE consists of two main parts? One part with designers from the old SONY mobilephone dep. and another from the old ERICSSON, who just make software. And the result is Sony phones with Ericsson software? There is no signs of the old Ericsson design, whatsoever, in the new SE products appart from the 'YES' and 'NO' buttons.

Personally I thing the new SE product is too MUCH Sony and too LITTLE Ericsson.

One thing would be to relase products having more of the old Sony looks in Asia, and other products with a little more 'tuch' of Ericsson design in Europa. But they totally 'dumped' the old Ericsson design!
I think that is kind of sad. Beacuse the original Ericsson consumers bougth Ericsson product especially because of the design! Because they did not want the design every body could swallow, as Nokia poduced.

T68i i a GREAT example of a joint product from Ericsson and Sony. A new trademark, a new logo, and new colors.

I think is is healthy that SE now makes a statement about their new design polecy, but could you PLEASE add a little tuch of the old Ericsson design? Or else I'm stucked with my T68i for ever!

Any one out there who agrees with me?

Regards from CableGuy!
