yes, I have done it myself once, and even SEUS tells you it is ok but just that it will take a long time.

remember that it downloads the firmware to your pc before attempting to upgrade the phone, so if the connection is lost then no harm is done to the phone

When I update my phone it downloaded around 90MB worth of files. More than 60MB was downloaded before asking to connect the phone and detecting the model; afterwards another 30MB or so. The files were downloaded to a directory : ...Sony EricssonUpdate Servicedb13740270

I don’t understand why it downloaded so much data; I mean the firmware cant be that large right ? I was hoping that it would be somewhere around 5MB at most 15MB.... but 90 ??

You're right, Firmware is around 15MB for MAIN and 5MB for the FS (18MB / 8MB) so looks like you updated SEUS II at the same time. But it's done now happy christmas.
