Where is the cheapest place in the UK to buy Memory Stick Duo Pros? I've just got a w900 and want to upgrade it to 2gb.

Would you get SanDisk or the Sony one? It's £15 more for a Sony.

Do you use the SanDisk?

Sandisk memory is supposed to be faster and cheaper than Sony, there was a thread here comparing the two and Sandisk was the popular pick.

I definitely recommend Sandisk over Sony, they are faster, cheaper and they are made in the same place. Plus there are loads of Fake Sony 2GB Duos floating about. Go for the Sandisk

Yep, I have a Sandisk Pro Duo 512, no problems with it except the memory corruption error of the K750 R1N035 firmware (which has nothing to do with the memory brand). Anyhow with memory card readers it works like a charm.

OK cool. Think I'll be going for the SanDisk. There seems to be loads of fake SE stuff floating around!

Saw some guy on here with a fake headset yesterday!

Yep, there are loads of fakes coming out these days... I think buying online is now becoming a big risk, especially if you import it from overseas.

You can get the SanDisk from Toys r Us! Because of the Sony PSP I guess. Don't know what price though!

The Carphone Warehouse are currently selling the Sandisk 2GB Memory Stick PRO DUO for £97.99 in the xmas sale. Dunno if its the same price online, but thats how much it is in shops.

As for Sandisk Vs Sony, I heard that the Sandisk ones come out of the same factory as the Sony ones, and only packaged differently. Dunno how true that is, but I do know that the Sandisk ones are more likely to work after being dropped in water. I speak from experience
