have you recently changed the cover? mics should be fairly cheap or i recon youve just left it in the old housing or is that not the case?

No, I bought it knowing the mic was not working and i was just going to get it repaired anyway. Got a rough idea on how much it should be?

nope but wouldnt of thought much. may only need the pins on the mic bending back into shape or even a new mic which should cost no more than a few quid.

As Dude said, it's probably just that the pins that connect the mic to the motherboard need carefully bending back into position, they've probably become flattened which is why the mic isn't working. You can either do it yourself, or I imagine it will be a cheap repair in a phone shop

just open it up yourself and see if the mic just needs sorting out. you can buy a t68i for that price (dont know if you can use the mic from that). anyway i would open it up myself and if that fails id get someone on here to have a look

i would say its one of the hardest phones to change a housing on, only try taking it apart if you have experience in replacing housings or you could cause more damage. [addsig]
