Hey!

i tried to login all week with the new se updateservice and now when i got it i forgott that my batteri was really low, so i did the update and in the middle of it i got a msg saying, script error. pls try again.

and i did but now i get a msg saying im allready up-to-date the phone wont start or anything, is there any fix except for leaving it to a service center? and if i leave it to them shall i mention what i did? dont know if warranty voids if one gets a update error.

thanks for any post, except for thoose "ha ha" ones

"ha ha"

sorry couldn't resist!

it shouldn't void any warrenty as long as you don't mention you had a low battery, as the update does state you should have a certain things and if these aren't fulfilled then thats how they could pass the blaim onto you.

if you take it to a service centre and just explain that in the middle of updating you got the script error then they should be able to have a look and maybe reflash it themselves for you.

p.s. only other option could be davinci, although its free and if you have an operator branded phone and you flash an unbranded firmware then that could void your warrenty as you've tampered with the firmware.

p.p.s sorry for the long post

hehe

thanks for the quick reply

davinci hmm never heard of it:)
my phone is allready unbranded so i guess if updating with that shouldnt void my warranty, you got any info on where i can find the application and fw? if its ok by the rules on the forum

thanks again

davinciteam.com

if you already have an unbranded phone then you can download the firmware files from their server which will be the same as what your trying to update to.

this service does cost you though, 10.00 euros for one credit is the cost, one credit = one firmware flash OR one unlock apparently, I've never used it personally so maybe take some advice of someone who has experience of it, but I've always heard great comments about their service.

hope it gets sorted soon, and your not too lost without your phone!

well I hope someone can confirm this so I know I'm not going crazy!

but on the old online update (which seems to have disappeared ) their were 2 options, one for updating, and one for recovery if your phone got screwed up for some reason.

not sure if its still there on the offline update though now!

well just entering the site you gave me + read a few threads in the forum you get it working very easy and yes you also have to pay atleast 10euro with paypal

but hey its worth it, going to se center and a few days later you get it back for free or pay 30e and they do it on the spot.

it seemed that my battery was totaly empty so even if its black you still have to load the battery atleast 1h, recomended time is 2h.

anyway it works:) thanks again
