Just started doing this, powers on and screen lights up white, does the usual vibrate thing but nothing appears on the screen just the backlight. Anyone know how to fix this is it a software thing, dont say take it to the Service center im out of warranty. Cheers.

Could be that the connector to the screen has come loose. Should just be a case of putting the screen's connector back into the motherboard.

Hopefully it's nothing worse, like a screen malfunctioning or damage to the connector on the phone PCB. If it's the latter it's probably new phone time as I imagine they'd be a bugger to fix!

I bought a new screen as I thought it was that, still does the same. What can I do now then? Battery is ok, what else can I do?

So the screen's already been changed? I know it sounds silly, but check that the screen has been plugged into the PCB properly. I've just fixed a D500 that way, didn't change any parts, just pushed the screen connectors to make sure they'd gone in properly!

Also check there's no damage to the PCB connector. If all this looks OK, it could well be a firmware issue, try updating the firmware.

Remove the mem stick, It'll power on. Then re-format mem stick in either a sony digi cam or a card slot, re insert mem card, your phone will be as good as new.

Cheers I'll try format the mem card, is this possible to do in the k750i (could use sisters handset). Surely the phone would boot up and show something on the screen even if the mem card wasn't in right? Only the backlight comes on, nothing else, even goes dimmer when it goes onto standy. Can still make calls and receive them though so the phone itself is working just not showing anything on the display, also not the LCD screen as I have already tried a replacement. Cheers.

Bump. I'm having this problem. I've been told to get a new LCD, Flash or check or loose connection.

I can make and recieve calls but all i have is a blank [white] screen. It powers on as usual, jus the display never changes. If I had memorized the menu and stuff, i can probably access every function.

What should I do... and how? If i have to take it somewhere, let it b somewhere in NYC

TIA
