hi everyone, does your w800i phone give you a "Fully charged" message alert, when you charge your phone turned on? Sony ericsson customer care centre just emailed me that the phone when turned on does not give a "fully charged" message alert. Pls letme know about your w800i.
And the email goes like this:

Answer:
Regarding to your enquiry, we would like to inform you that if you turn on
your phone for charging, it will not show "fully charge" alert after
finishing charge. However, the battery icon will be stopped moving and the
color changed from red to green, it means your phone is fully charged!

When turned on, there's no fully charged message at all. The email they sent you exactly describes it. The icon stops moving but the lightning icon (on the battery icon)is still there. When you go to Phone Status (by pressing either volume button while on standby), It will say Charging: 100%

I bought mine W800i 10 days ago...Since then i haven't managed to fully charge it. First charge (let it charge all night turned off) and when, in the morning, i checked the phone, the battery indicator was still moving. I unplugged it and it said 72%. I have had the phone fully uncharged twice but the best i get is 90-92% and the indicator still moving. Tonight i charged it turned on and i got a 84% (...and of course a still moving indicator). What goes wrong?

P.S. I have the latest firmware installed 3 days ago.

Let me put this as simple as I can. If your phone is under waranty, ask for a replacement. I think it's a problem with some units. If you wish, you can make a firmware upgrade, but not gonna help.

I've read so many forums with this kind of issue. Mine had this problem, made a firmware upgrade but nothing happens. The only solution I can give was the one I took, I used the phone waranty and ask for a replacement.

The phone now work very fine. The more stable version is the latest but I think it has some issues with the battery management, and sometimes there's a strange sound when making a call.

I hope this helps.
