Yeah make a phone like Nokia's that need to get there displays fixed once a month. No I'm happy that Ericsson has made a robust phone that are screwed together.

T68 has no "express" covers like Nokia. simply coz, T68 is a High end product and with high end stuff you don't need cheapo covers to amke your day....
Besides, changable covers are for pussy...like all the nokia users. |

I have change the cover but not for placing a gold one. Just change it because of some minor scratches on the display. It is easy to change the cover. You must carefully remove the cap on the back-top of the phone (where there is the ericsson logo). You must find something to unlock the 2 clips which hold that cap (right & left of the baterry clip). Then you need a torqs screwdriver to unscrew the four screws. The cover has some clips (about in the middle of the phone). If you push it a little bit from one side then you can remove it. If you do it once it is very easy.
As far as Nokia X-press covers are concerned, trust me, but are awfull. Some times fit loosely, some times not. If you remove a cover once, then the cover does not fit properly. I have dried a lot of them.

I have a zirrocan gold and my desperation in having it changed to the more masculine lunar gray has prompted me to offer our local Ericsson Service Point here in Manila payment (even if i had warranty) for a replacement "gray-cover" once the first shipment of T68 service-parts arrive. It's more like pretending to have broken my original gold-cover and invoking service on it. Although they've agreed.. i'm not sure if this will work on your side too, guys.. goodluck! |

Iīve also changed cover, and its very easy, but you need a small torq screwdriver. One thing to look out for tough, is not to expose the inner screen for too long. I had mine fully opened for about 1 minute and now the screen is full of dust, but luckilly, itīs only when itīs powered off that itīs really disturbing... |

Of course if you open it then you should blow air, both on screen and the cover from inside cause dust will enter! You can take a sprey with condensed air or go to a photo store and purchase some specialized tools which are designed to remove dust from thenlenses and so on. It is the only way to remove the dust without touching anything.
