as it is pay as you go it will be locked to O2, not sure about the actual branding though, may be some O2 specific links in menu etc, someone else will need to confirm this

o2 don't brand just have a start up shut down screen, none of the menus are effected

On my K750 it is start up and shut down but you can change the start up, also there is one link thats o2 branded but its very minimal

they do on some phones, on an O2 k750i i had, the main menu had an internet link whose title when moving to it said O2 on screen

Yes it will, all companies do, but that isn't really branding, branding is like red menus and vodafone live and orange menus for orange and t-zone for t-mobile...
