I tried removing the front orange faceplate of W550, but I stopped halfway because I felt I'm exerting much force but still it won't get off. The manual doesn't help either.
Any instructions on how to properly remove it? |

Put your finger nail under the slot just above the charger port and just lift matey, it seems like a bit of force but it will just pop off and then remove by putting you finger nail under the sides ect, they are pretty strong fascias so don't be scared.
Se-Naz i used your picture but i'm sure your okay with that

@TheWhizz_68,
Thanks. That's how I actually did it, but was too scared that I might break the front plate after lifting the bottom part and the side 'locks' won't go off. |

I too was scared that it will break initially when changing face plates, but after a few tries, I can change the face plate easily without having fear of breaking it.
It appears flimsy, but is quite sturdy.
