When I use the SE site to update my firmware it comes up with the error "This feature has been disabled by your operator" (or something to that effect).
Does this mean by being on T-Mobile i can never update my buggy software?
My software version is R1N035, the software info screen also lists my Customization as T_MOB_INT_A. Is this what is stopping me update my firmware? Can I remove the customization?

To make a comment, good or bad, about your T-Mobile service, talk to us by calling 150 from your mobile or 0845 412 5000 from a landline. (Monday-Sunday 7am-10pm).
We find most problems can be sorted out at this stage. If you need to take things further, ask to speak to a manager.
Or you can email or write to us.

Must say their site isn't much help!
But looks like T-Mobile have blocked SEUS from allowing it's customers to upgrade...
...maybe becuase of it causing more problems.
Try to get in touch with their local Service Center to see if they'll update your firmware free.
Also, ask them to allow SEUS to their customers if they tick a "Lose Warrenty" clause!
Anyway to get rid of ICONs and branding will need a third party firmware upgrade and it'll cost...
...Just get an unbranded and unlocked phone the next time on monthly contract - they're a lot less hassel.
If you choose to sell your phone you may get more as it's untampered with - |
