I have a K750i and it crashes - "so whats new" I hear you say, well you see mine crashes with a difference (at least I have not seen it here before). When you switch on the phone without a SIM you can play around with it (as much as you can play around without a SIM that is) and it will be OK, I can enter the service mode and everything will seem to be OK - every test is completed satisfactorily. When I insert a SIM the phone will start up and crash within 10 seconds (I've tried two different SIMS that are working properly on my other phone - Z800i). Currently I'm awaiting a cable to flash the phone but I have this niggling feeling that it might be more than firmware... What do you guys think?

i would of said firmware. its reconising the sim just not registering it properly with the phone. try a firmware update first, thats your best bet

ok

some reasons why i said it wouldnt be hardware is because it wouldnt of picked up the sim at all, second is that im sure you havent messed around in the phone (or have you?), third is most problems nowdays are firmware related and this sounds like one of them

Re-flashing did the trick!! Actually I tried using SEUS, that went trough the motions and updated the software but still had the same problem. I used DaVinci and it worked a treat - whilst I was at it I upgraded it to W800i software. Thanks guys.
