A pity...just bought a VS6 as a secondary phone to my P900 and I really think its a job well done for a phone only costing around £100 from CPW(IMHO).
Some fond memories of the GD87 from a few years back, the wife's miniscule GD55 that she had two years ago, etc.
Sayonara,Panasonic GSM. 'Twas fun while it lasted...

this means more market share for other brands.

I like the X70 clamshell fone, but the features were way too inferior when compared with those of the - Bird's or Sagem's !

Yippee! Panasonic might make great Stereos, but they should definitely give up on Mobiles, their designs and interfaces are tricky and annoying to use.

On some of their basic phones I agree with the above statement, but I totally disagree as regards their last gsm phones like the VS6.
You don't have to obviously just take my word for it though...
if you haven't had a chance to fiddle with, say a VS6 or whatever,go to your nearest CPW and see if they have a demo model.
Just my opinion of course, but I believe in giving credit where I feel credit is due...
Chalk and cheese compared to their earlier attempts, IMHO.

I suppose... The VS6 is a smart little phone, its just their previous track record that puts me off.

if they are going to concentrate on linux OS. does this mean they'll leave symbian OS?
they are 1 of the 6 owners.
