Guys, I'm really pissed off with my P910 working this way. I've not so hard not to dislike my phone... I mean, there are a few problems with it but they're okay. But now this has really irritated me. I've compressed a movie usiong Smartmovie and while transferring it to my phone it shows an error after about 70% transfer completion. 6 times! I tried and still not worked. Had this problem earlier also but worked in the third try. I'm seriously irritated. I don't think this should be this way. Can someone help me with this. By the way I was using the P910 File Manager software that came with the phone. My bluetooth software allows me to send the file to the Beamed folder but I'm not able to save Smartmovie files from there to my Memory Card. Besides, a movie file won't fit into the phone's memory(this file is about a 110MB)

you can do that with all things now. like cameras, tom toms, etc. seems the best way to me. you could also use a program called fma. that never lets me down

Ok. 2 points- first move the movie on your PC to a new folder and try again.
Second try My Phone Explorer. There's a program called CDCheck that can check the CRC of files. Try to copy another large file and see if that fails. Does your movie play part 70%.

may not work with P910's, don't know but your Manager does connect...

floAt's mobile manager:

http://fma.sourceforge.net/

My Phone Explorer:

http://members.aon.at/fwechsel/en/index.html

Sorry posted from WAP earlier and didn't make much sence...

anyway, the reason I sugested moving the file from it's original place on your PC's hard drive was to remove the posibility that there was a problem transferring from a block on you hard drive...

CDCheck is a program that can check whether a file is corrupt or not:

http://fusion.zejn.si/
http://www.elpros.si/CDCheck/ 3.1.0.9 zip

it carries out a CRC like WinRAR when decompressing fails...

The reason for trying to transfer other large files is to check the posibility of the process (surgest WinRAR several CAB files from windows setup) it's self being at fault.

and does the Movie play (T9 = "part" woops) past 70% on the PC's media player...

...if not, maybe a corruptly encoded file that requires encoding again

and those tips above

Guys, thanks a lot for your replies... Transferring the big file didn't work even after I did what you guys told me... FMA didn't detect my phone... so I split the movie to two 50MB files and sent them to my phone... got the movie now... except that ot's in two files... not that big a problem anyway....
