3 Firmware-Generic or vodafone live! Firmware |

As much as I've had to do with cell phones in my life, I've never actually had all that much to do with fireware (well, not when it comes to cell phones at least).
Seeing as I've got my new Z800i and my Z1010 is just about out of warranty, I think I might "play" with it, primarily by loading either generic or "vodafone live!" firmware onto it...
But first, a couple of questions.
1. How safe is it and will it damage my phone in any way?
2. Can it be reversed easily (ie. back to the 3 firmware) and if so, how?
3. What beneifts/disadvatges does the generic firmware offer, and what benefits/disadvantages does the "vodafone live!" firware offer?
4. Where can I have it performed in Sydney (NSW, Australia)?
And before someone says something, I don't own a computer, nor do I have access to one!

I've started exactly the same thread on Aussie 3G, so hopefully we'll get an answer...
