Hi everyone. Please help.
I recently bought a SE w800i and lately, I've been encountering several problems. Firstly, the phone restarts. I think since I bought it, it has restarted eight times. Although it didn't affect my files, I am still bothered because I don't think it's supposed to exhibit such "behavior" right?
Also, when transferring songs via Disc2Phone, there are times when not all of the songs are transferred, which can be frustrating because I would have to go through the procedure all over again.
I've also encountered an instance when all of the files in the memory stick were erased for reasons I still do not know.
Finally, if a memory stick has been corrupted, can it still be used? I was told that I would have to reformat it.
By the way, my firmware is the much ballyhooed R1N035. Some people have told me to upgrade it to R1NA005 but I hear this firmware is responsible for the hissing sound during music playback.
Also, is it really safe to use SEUS? I'm a bit apprehensive when it comes to using this service. What if my phone gets screwed up?
I'd appreciate all relevant and enlightening inputs. Apologies if some of my questions here are somewhat redundant, I'm new to esato and am not really that knowledgeable on tech stuff.
Thanks guys. |

mabuhay!
look, the best thing to do with all those faults is take it back...
if you still have a warranty... with a list of faults as big as that you need to rethink that specific phone, maybe go back to the store where you purchased it...
SEUS, this is an authenitc service and if it does make your phone seireoulo then it wont break the warranty...
hope this helps

I recommend you try upgrading it first, then, if it still doesn't work, take it to the service centre.
Seems you bought it with the R1N035 firmware installed... wich has those bugs of "losing files" when transfering over usb cable to the memory stick.
It is fixed in the latest version, so you may wanna try it out.
Good luck.

Thanks guys for your inputs.
Yes, I think I'll bring my phone to the service center. Good thing I'm protected by a one-year warranty. The only hassle is that I have to surrender my phone for a few days and all files in the phone memory will be deleted. No word yet if they'll provide me with a service unit.
I've also heard about R1AA008, can you tell me what all the hype is surrounding this alleged new firmware?
It's really frustrating that SE consumers have to go through inconveniences like these! This is my first time to own a SE unit, having been a loyal Nokia user for years and I must say that this experience is leaving such an unpleasant aftertaste.
