Im interested in it too, I haven't found out how to turn the camera shutter off on the w800i I have had for a one day now... Maby Im just stupid not finding out how to turn it off or maby it depends on firmware if there is a option to turn the shutter off....

come on guys, we have 100 threads on this topic. as mentioned, it depends on where you bought your phone as to weather you are able to turn off the camera sound
the only way around it if you have one that is noisy is to go to one of the unofficial firmware sites like davinci, change your CDA to one that allows silent shutter sound and load that firmware
while some people say the only reason you want to disable the sound is to take discreet pictures of people I think that is wrong. anyone who has heard the SE shutter sound knows its awful on the ears in a quiet environment

just to add... i believe it was mentioned that some places it is a law that you have to have a shutter sound when taking pics with your phone. some privacy law.
Its good to be back! |

oh ok, thanks for clearing that up masseur, so it's the same with the k750 and w800? And what CDA is it that allows us to turn the shutter off?

sorry but I don't have a specific list of which CDA's or which countries phones have, or don't have the camera sound. A search of the previous threads might give you an idea

country. as i said above, some places i believe it is a law to have this sound, so they make it in the FW when selling. |

I flashed my K750 w/ one of the EU2 firmware (N035) and there's no shutter sound when the phone is in silent mode. |
