Yeah,i suppose they were gonna do it one day 
I was just ringing NTL the other day and at the beginning of the call i was prompted with something like,'this number is now chargable'.
So i hung up and rung Orange and they confirmed it,but saying i had something in my last bill about it,i never seen anything but my bills.
Anyway they charge 10p a minute now AT ALL TIMES since 1st December.
NOTE...BT freephone numbers are still free!
Bye bye free 0800's  (One of the reasons i stay with Orange has just gone.......... )
