And I am really pissed off as guess what Voda have done to the white w900???

There is a bloody great RED VODFONE logo on the bottom of the front under the screen!!!

and it's a Voda Live handset with fully customised operating system, so much for not playing with the Walkman phones.

I played with one today, and then cancelled my order, Arse!

I honestly don't see what you're so pissed off about. It's called marketing and GSM Carriers here in the states use it all the time. Anytime you buy a phone from a carrier, be it T-mobile, Cingular, Sprint, Verizon, they all come with the carrier's logo, regardless if you pay full price with no contract or with a 1 or 2 year contract (discount on the phone).

I have to admit I don't like the excessive customising of phones by service providers either, Voda do take the piss!!

There's nothing against putting your settings in the phone, perhaps a small logo somewhere on the phone and change an icon, but Voda go too far, and T-Mobile are headed in the same direction!

Or better still don't get it on Voda lmao [addsig]

I think it looks abominable.

I can't say the handset looks good in white at all plus I am completely against such complete branding of the phone. Am I right in assuming some of the features will be culled from the original, such as the built in IM client and the ability to upload MP3s as ringtones etc

Horrid!!

for all those complaining about the branding there are 2 very simple solution.
1. set your own multi million pound mobile network up contact se and start dealing and doing whatever branding you like
or number 2
just wait till o2 or one of the other companies get it

Don't fancy yours much,Vodafone.
I do agree that the new logo does look better though... a small consolation, IMO.

logo looks the same to me. anyway the phone doesnt look that bad but the main reasons for me hating vodaphone are that the branding is ugly and if you use the phone on another network it looks out of place and that they have limited the features on the phone which i dont think they should be allowed to do.
