is it possible to lock the phone to the 3G network? so that the phone cant use the 2g GSM network?

Id imagine its the same as with my K600 where you either choose 3G/GSM or GSM only.
Why would you want to do that anyway out of interest?

no the only options you get are 3g/gsm which uses 3g coverage where available and gsm when its not and the gsm only option.
No option just to use 3g only im afraid.
