I should warn you that the W900i review model crashes a lot (reboots) and when you use the over-the-air update utility, it says it's up to date.

I can't pair the W900i with my Motorola IHF1000 car kit either. It fails every time.

But, on the upside, the camera is vastly improved over the K750/W800. Is there a CCD sensor in it? Low light shots are perfect.. sure there's some noise but no blue lines whatsoever!

thanks for the warning, you have a review unit?

too late for me, it's in the mail... but i know SE has never just left phones out there without fixing crashes eventually thru updates.

Why do people always make the same mistake every time? The first batch of phones released are always either faulty or too pricy. Wait a month, and you can get one that will work and isn't ask expensive. Don't rush into things! The K700, K750, P800 all did this, for me anyways. I've learnt to wait. [addsig]

I also got the k750 as soon as it was released and loved it from day 1... (shrug)

well thats cool if it works for you, but for me, im just unlucky, i always get the dogged phones and others do to. i like to wait a bit and be sure that its not just an early-stages thing. [addsig]

Hi Jim

Afaik It should be the same cmos module as in K750/W800, and I dont have any blue lines in low lights either on my K750 or my W800. I also had a chance for a short try of a W900 preproduction model recently, and didnt find the camera to be wastly improved, though I did seem to find very small improvements that I tributed either to my imagination or to small improvements in firmware. W900 also has more manual settings with spot photometry and abitlity to turn off autofocus, which does give more posibilities to optimize photoquality.

Yeah you are right that the cmos is the same but if you dig deep into the published online content about w900i you will see the firmware is improved and filters noise better.

I always get SE phones as soon as they are released. Only E phone to really cause me grief was the 788, sorry can't remember the letters, other then that, I've been very lucky with E and SE phones. K700 was just a crappy phone which I hated as soon as I took it out of the box.

Only Vodafone will be selling the W900i, and only in white. No other UK operator has yet taken it either.

Looks like it's Vodafone branded or SIM-free only for us.

My W900i is now rebooting too frequently, suggesting it's a hardware fault. It's getting really annoying, and as it has been sitting on my desk, I've spotted it reboot four times today already.
