I purchased mine today from Official Sony Ericsson Retail Store:

Price: $709 US (After Tax)
Phone Languages: English/Traditional Chinese
Location: Taipei, Taiwan

Post your's thanks!

I got the White version, Personally I like the white one better. It's not rebranded under any carrier, so doesn't have the MP3 ringtone restriction like the White version rebranded under Vodaphone. As a bonus for pre-ordering it early, the phone came with an extra 512MB Memory Stick Pro DUO. that's close to 1 GB if you count the internal 470MB!! =D Also came with a Sony Ericsson Silver Jewlery Case and a Sony Style Neck Clip-On Strip for the phone.

The phone itself is Made in Japan.
Battery is Made in Japan.
Remote Unit is Made in Japan.
Stereo in-ear Headphone is Made in Japan.

Yeh... I'm starting this thread to see what's the average price around the globe for W900i, and to see if they also come with freebies.

Definitely get the unbranded ones!! The phone is awesome btw!! I'd recommanded it to anyone!

will u post some photos and videos taken by your w900 in this thread or u'll begin a new dedicated one for that matter?

I wish that SE makes a phone that supports the iPod video directly so I don't have to re-encode my videos taken by my mobile (W900 was ideal for that, specially it has 320*240 video resoultion @ 30 fps, the same as the iPod video).

I'm suprised to read that w900 is already available in stores. A SE-guy showed me the phone this week and it was VERY buggy. He said that the SW was still under development. Is your phone stable? I liked the phone but i'll certainly wait if the phone's full me bugs:-(

I have ordered three black ones...The first two arrived this morning, but I sold them to a guy that REALLY REALLY wanted the phones...

I purchased them for $800 each, and the guy offered me $1200 x 2......I had to let them go....

Getting the third on friday, and that`s mine for sure....

mikaljan, can you post the url where you purchased the w900? i can't find it here: http://shopwireless.sonyericsson.com/

thanks

p.s. i still think $7-800USD is way overpriced! You can buy a nice laptop for that amount.

i also wanna know whether when the w900 is plugged to my PC via USB, will the internal memory appear as a removalble media or I have to put on it a memory stick pro duo card on the free slot to be mounted as in W800?

just found the answer on SE site , it does show as removable media!

the last remaining factor is the max SMS limit on it. I have a nokia 6260 with kinda 1000 SMS on it and i wanna know how does w900 handle SMS. Hope they benefit of the internal memory and allow us to store an unlimited number of SMSs.

you don't need to install driver for w900i, when you plug the phone via usb, it shows up as 2 seperate removable drives. one for internal memory, one for memory stick duo
