Hello,

Got myself a Mobile Action Infrared Adapter (www.mobileaction.com) to (of cource) communicate with my PC. But the %^$&* thing won't seen my phone. Could this be because the driver of the Infrared Adapter isn't compatible with the software version of my phone.

I've got software version:
R3A022
pgrCXC125269
R3A022
prgCXC125147_TAE

hmm ... are you trying to setup two different IR ports? I thought you said it's a mobile action device, and then you just mentioned you tried it on a laptop.

No, I'm just checking if my phone sends out an IR signal....'cause if the problem lies there then I don't need to seach further.

Most laptops recognise infrared devices and then create a driver, but in this case when I put the phone infront of the infrared eye of the laptop it did nothing. But on the other hand when I put a Nokia 8310 infront of the eye it started ratteling to create a device driver.

So could it be that there is a bug in my phones software version:
R3A022
pgrCXC125269
R3A022
prgCXC125147_TAE

tha enables the infrared eye to send a signal.

Well, it could even be a hardware problem. Before bringing it to a service point (and back up your phone data first), see if a master reset resolves the problem.

I guess you dont have any data cables, therefore that option is out. Or bluetooth?

You can send all of your contacts to another SE phone (if you can get hold of one). And you're correct about the SIM card option - you lose your contacts's email.
