My p800 touch screen suddenly stopped working. Thus i am NOT able to use keypad and not able to make calls. The battery also getting drained very quickly. The virtual keypad is always on, even if the physical keypad is used.
I am not able to master-reset it, format it and not able to see the full screen and the other programs. My phone became dumb. Unfortuanately i do not have a backup of the phone also.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

would the battery be old already? that seems to be a symptom of an old battery if it drains quickly. now, the virtual keypad should automatically be disabled the moment you close the actual flip of the phone. there might be something wrong with the sensor of the actual flip. have you tried removing it? with the touchscreen, can you try to do some calibrating? that may be the cause. if you cant, i suggest bringing it to the nearest service centre because you might need to have the screen replaced

Thanks for the reply. I can not calibrate the screen as my touch screen is NOT working and always virtual filp ON has restricted my functionality to Jog dial use ONLY. I am attempting to try the piece with a new battery, which can answer the battery drain problem, but still not able to understand why the Touch screen wa disabled and teh Virtual flip was always on.
Is there any way to reset/format my phone, without using the keypad, as my keypad is blocked by not working touch screen? Any desktop key mapper or PC based program to format or reset the phone?
FYI: I can not even try hidden menu as i can not type * key
Thanks

the only way is to take it to a service centre and have them take a look at it, may be they can take a full back up, and you can also upgrade to a P900
