Depends..........do you possess the "inner peace" to be able to handle the grave mental agony associated with another joystick failure if it happens???

On a more serious note.....having being in contact with 2 joystick phones from nokia(6600 and 3230) and various from se, i have found se joystick to have a far better tactile feel and much more easier to use but they are more sensitive to muck (perhaps due to the huge void around the joystick area) so depending on your usage conditions they may or may not last. If 3 have failed for you chances are the next one will too.

Sell it !!! I've had enough of this problem, thing is I can't return it as I flashed the FW with w800 one.

May go back to my p900 till the p990 is out, sell this on ebay, stating it needs new housing and dust around joystick removing. Other than that, its ok.

How much do you reckon ??

I realised the same thing having moved in the past from a Nokia 6600 to a W800i as well. I feel the SE joypad is much better, more stable and has a better feel than my 6600.

no offence meant to anyone but to those that have had problems with your phone where do you keep it and how do you treat it?! i mean do you have the attitude of i really need to take care of my phone or an attitude of my phone should put up with whatever i put up with.

the only reason i ask is that i have had SE joystick phones for the last 3years or so and not one has broke on me. So just purely out of curiosity i was woundering if it could be down to a way an idividual uses their phone. are you a 'firm' typer and push the buttons hard, do you have a job or hobby that means the phone is often in dirty places etc...

just curious?!

@justy - Yup, better sell it matey. Then buy another one . . . if the joystick issue has been perstering you for quite sometime now, then it will be more prudent to go for 'touch-screen' handsets the ones which uses - stylus pens. The Motorola A780 is a nice one to consider pal, donning a 1 MP camera etc. etc. Well, the Samsung D600 fits my taste too dude. Good Luck !

Have my cell for over 3 years now and the joystick/keyboard never missed a bit.But then again you would't want a N70 because it'll destroy your social life in every respect.

Your comment fits rather well to the tread name above ;-) or was it directed to my previous post ? (fits well too - is a Nokia)
