Don't go for the attractive ads of these new calling cards.Go for your experience and go for those who have actually tried and tested the services for the truth is, these calling card companies are charging a whole lot more than what they are claiming to be.
I recently bought a Rs.250 Callmate Telips calling card and called various numbers,US and within Pakistan mobile and fixed.I noticed the exact balance before and after the calls made because I wanted to dig out their real rates and not the rates they claim.
For your information and for all those who plan to buy Callmate cards these are the 'actual' calling tariffs as I experienced.(All rates include all taxes).These rates determined at 5.30pm one evening,don't know whether it is peak or offpeak.
Nationwide mobile Rs.15 per min
Local mobile Rs.7.50/min
US fixed line Rs.5.80/min
Nationwide PTCL Rs.3.30/min
Don't know about other calling cards but this is about Callmate which I found out for myself.
With mobile phone tarifs falling regularly,it is getting economical and ofcourse much more convenient to use your cell phone to make calls anywhere provided you are not using Mobilink which continues to be the most expensive and the least popular among the masses.To me, Ufone and Warid are neck and neck and to date I have met and seen the least number of complainst against Ufone which fares better than all the 6 combined. |
