just recognized, that the light can be used only in constanly on mode when making a pic in the darrk. just for fun wanted to make some pix of me, i almost went blind. in 6680 when i turn on the light, it flashes ones at making the pic, but in w8 i didnt find that feature ( only on or off ). imo its very disturbing, if i wanna make a pic of a person and she/he has to look directly in that light ca some secs long...

not a big deal and was a bit bored at work, so i experimented a bit:

here are 2 samples ( made in total darkness ) :

I guess that design descion was made so that if you're not using the camera to take a picture of yourself, and its too dark for the camera to show up anything, with the light on you'll get an idea..
Its not as bright as when the picture is taken.. at which point its slightly brighter for a second!

indeed, at that point u are right, but se should have make some thoughts of it, if u wanna make a pic of ppl in a darker place, its very bad at usage. imo not only "things" should be shown in a pic. the light itself is also way too bright, the half of it would be enough aslong i just focus.
