Hi went to update my phone via SEUS and ot this message:

Unfortunately, the server encountered an internal error and could not complete your request. Please check that you typed the address (URL) correctly.

If this error recurs, please try again later when we hope the problem will have been solved.

I'm on: R1L002 Firmware(K750i) at the moment and want to upgrade to the latest firmware.
Does the seus service often go down like that??
Any views on weather or not you think its worth up grading the FW greatly appreciated and what I should up date too.

Cheers

no, SEUS dont often go down like that.
Latest firmware is R1N035 but a new firmware is on the way within a few weeks which fix some bugs in R1N035
Dont upgrade untill this is released.

First, no need for anyone in the UK specifically to try.
Theres only one SEUS server, all regional sites links to the same SEUS server and all get this message right now. No matter from where you try.

Second, the reason why the server is down right now, is because they are preparing it for the new firmware. It will be up again when this is ready. No reason for alot of others to try also.

Third, the latest R1N035 has serious bugs, mainly the dreaded filetransfer corruption bug, you dont want that, so why insist on trying to update when I allready told you a new firmware is very close ?

Fourth, you can not select yourself which firmware to choose, so recommendation on which is pointless, you can only update to the latest version with SEUS. And the version you can get and when it will be available are furthermore dependent on your networkbranding if you dont have an unbranded phone.

Calm yourself Numb, I only wanted to know if I was perhaps doing somthing wrong that was all.
Therefore the reason I was asking someon else to try.
If you knew it was down for that reason why did you not tell me earlier???????

Agreed, I didnt specifically say the service was down because of the preparation for the new firmware.

Im calm, I did tell you that a new firmware was very close and adviced not to update untill this was released.

Perhaps not the clearest answer, but I thought that would indicate you wasnt doing anything wrong and should simply wait.

Therefore I wondered why you seemed to insist on trying to update by asking others to check. I allways wonder why sometimes when people ask for advice and get them, they still ask, as if they either did not read the advice at all, or simply only want to read an advice that suits their goal, and keep asking untill someone gives the advice they want to hear. Thats why I tried to clarify further in my second post. Furthermore if a server for instance is down due to overload, it doesnt really help to ask others to also try, thus increasing the overload.

Apparently I misunderstood your reason for asking again, sorry for that.

No worries Numb, I listen to all advice thats why I'm on here asking.
I will take your advice on waiting now I know SEUS will probably work ok for me (when the update is done).

Thanks for your time,
