Right, a bit of a funny one here but maybe someone can help.

A friend of mine asked me to help her connect her K750 to her laptop so she can take stuff on and off her phone, I connected the phone via USB and the phone charges OK, but is not recognsed byt he PC at all, it doesn't try and install software or anything.

Luckily I have a K750 as well so I tried my phone, that connected fine, I installed the software etc. and I could browse my memory stick fine. My friends K750 would still not connect however.

Just to check I put her memory stick in My phone and connected it to the laptop, worked fine, dragged the photos off and everything.

Now the question is, what is going on here! Is her phone faulty? Or would a patch help? The thing is I can't patch it because I can't connect it to the PC! I am suggesting taking it back to the store but knowing how untechnical staff are in these places, she may not get far.

Any advice appreciated.

No one got any idea? sorry to bump but I need to know if sending this bugger off for repair is worth it or if there's an easy fix

does sound like her phone is faulty...

...you've done all that could be done.

maybe >

make sure all physical contacts are clean
try a master reset (backup and remove mem stick first)

other than that I think it a swap (under guarantee)

Definitely faulty. Just take it back and get a replacement. [addsig]

Yes, I'd agree with Beep. Even if it's a firmware issue, you can't do anything about it because you can't connect her phone to SEUS! I think the only option therefore is to send it off for repair.

Have you tried connecting her phone to a different computer?
